Award Description: In an effort to support our communities during this pandemic, the Scouts (all programs) from Suffolk and Nassau Counties have provided amazing service to their fellow citizens. To recognize these achievements, the Suffolk County and Theodore Roosevelt Councils have joined together in offering the COVID-19 Community Response Award. This award is aimed to recognize Scouts who have made a difference in helping their communities and also to encourage our Scouts to get involved…safely.
Requirements: Write a paragraph or two describing: - The service that was provided – why you selected this service and who benefited from it
- How you shared what you did with others (example: promoted on social media)
- How many hours were spent in performing the service (a minimum of 3 hours is suggested)
- Send the above information along with Name, Address, Phone Number, Council, District, Unit, Town, and Unit Leader.
- Each scout MUST email the individual applications to: jjb429@gmail.com
Recognition: Scouts who have submitted a qualifying application will be recognized with a special COVID-19 Community Response Award patch.
Patch Design Competition Patch Design Rules: - The contest is only open to BSA registered youth
- Entries must include all listed items above
- Entries may use any art medium (colored pencils, crayon, computer graphics, etc.)
- Entries must be received by Monday, June 8th, 2020
- Entries must be submitted to: jjb429@gmail.com
